The last couple months have been fun, tough, and overall rewarding.
Lots of hard and heavy training, lot’s of good dynamic programming, and lots of gains made overall. I competed twice, once in September at Appalachia’s Strongest Stonelifter, and at a local unsanctioned comp held by a friend.
Overall, the stone comp went even better than expected. I was very excited and performed even better than I expected. I also, from what I understand, qualified for the America’s Strongest Stonelifter. However, I was not able to attend as I only had two weeks to turn around and fly across the country.
Here’s a video of my 311lb Shield Carry:
We also had a farmers carry with basically a smaller version of Dinnie Stones, a stone tower stack, and a stone chain drag. Very fun events overall, and I had a great time.
I also competed in a local comp hosted by a friend, and while that comp didn’t go as well planned as I had hoped, I’m still satisfied with my performance. I was really excited for the 18inch Mammoth Bar deadlift event that we had, which I hit 692lbs. I attempted 792lbs, but unfortunately was unsuccessful.
The deadlift is featured here:
I also got to finally do my first truck pull, with a Cybertruck. It was definitely a bit lighter than expected, as a lot of the trucks pulled are much heavier, however it was very very fun.
The video of that is featured here:
All in all, lots of fun events, and heavy training. I’m currently prepping for 3 more comps this year, however one is another fun comp that’s unsanctioned as well. I’m really looking forward to continuing to grow, train and lift heavy.
