This past weekend I competed for the second year in a local, Halloween themed competition. I had the opportunity to hit a huge Axle Press PR (which I did), and compete up a weight class for the first time. I ended up taking 3rd out of 4, and was tied for 2nd pretty much the entire comp. It was my second time competing, and being on the podium at this competition.

I felt really good as it reinforced my static strength. To be able to compete up a weight class, and succeed in the static heavy events was something I was very proud of.

Here is a video of the Axle Press PR, 8lb PR!:

Another fun event, a Squat Machine. The weight was roughly around 455lbs. I completed 6 reps:

And this crazy event, the Push/Pull Medley with a 115lb CDB, and a 502lb Deadsled deadlift:

Ultimately, I had a blast, and learned that I can compete with the weight class up, and where I cut down too as well. I found the things I need to improve on, and where I fell short against my competitors. I’m looking forward to my next comp in a few weeks!
